SHIPMONEY data sync issues with Compas
Synchronization between Compas and SIPMONEY is done via API.
A crew's data is loaded for the first time on the ShipMoney portal for the purpose of activating an account. If the ShipMoney portal is unable to capture the correct passport file, it returns an error prompt indicating to the Admin User that the passport is missing.
Nonetheless, the Admin User can still proceed with the activation of the said ShipMoney account but the status would be "Pending Approval"
Usually, the missing passport error is triggered by:
A) Lack of passport file and
B) Multiple passport files uploaded either Linked or Not Linked.
The best case scenario would be to always have only one (1) passport file with a low file size (less than 2MB) uploaded and linked to the crew's Compas profile. Preferably PDF but the ShipMoney portal is capable of reading either PDF or JPG.
